In my journey as a UX/UI designer, I wanted to tackle a project that combined my love for adventure sports in Hawaii with my professional growth.

Problem to Solve

I noticed a common frustration among myself and friends: the difficulty of finding gear and reliable information for surf or ski trips. I noticed friends would still be doing organic search by calling people who had previously travelled to the spot and ask for recomendations. I think this is very helpful, but I thought to myself how can there not be yet and APP for this.

So, I came up with an idea: create an app that makes it easy to find high quality gear, efficiently and get straight to the fun. Plus giving me local insights and tips of what other activities to do.

I envisioned an app where users could easily locate rental services, find the right gear, and even buy equipment, all in one place. The goal? A seamless experience where users can land, grab their gear, and hit the waves or slopes without any hassle.

Motivated by this vision, I embarked on my personal case study. Through research, design iterations, and user feedback, I worked to bring this idea to life.
